Drive Soundtrack (2011) 2LP

Kavinsky's Nightcall and Chromatics' Tick of the Clock share space with Cliff Martinez's own cues, Hammer and On the Beach among them, both drawing from the same Johnny Jewel synth well. Lakeshore Records released the Drive score, which topped soundtrack charts on both sides of the Atlantic and landed at number 31 on the Billboard 200. Spin later called it one of the soundtracks that reshaped alternative music. Synthwave still owes it money.
