As You Please arrived on CD from Run For Cover Records, Citizen's second album pulling together alternative rock, emo and shoegaze across twelve tracks. It reached number 2 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and number 9 on Independent Albums, with Metacritic settling at 77. Rock Sound scored it 8 out of 10 for balancing huge choruses against quieter, more textured stretches, the same balance that's carried the Ohio band past its emo-scene start into a wider alternative rock audience.
