The Dark CD

The Dark is Chelsea Wolfe's ninth album, still on Loma Vista, and it sits comfortably inside a catalog that's drifted between doom-folk, industrial noise and gothic rock since her 2010 debut. Lead single "Cold" sets the tone right away, heavy and minor-key, and song titles like "Seethe," "Swallower," "Halo" and "Dancer in the Sky" line up with the darkness, dread and transformation she's been working through for over a decade now.
