Nine albums in, Carnifex still leans on blast beats and orchestral flourishes without losing the crushing low end that built their name, and Necromanteum, out on Nuclear Blast, is the proof. Distorted Sound and Rock Sins both scored it 8 out of 10, Wall of Sound went with 9, and more than one outlet called it the band's most consistent record yet. Ten tracks, no filler by most accounts.
