Carissa's Wierd - Somewhere Further Than Far Away LP

Jenn Champion and Mat Brooke built Carissa's Wierd from a teenage Tucson friendship before moving it to Seattle, where a teenage Ben Bridwell drummed before founding Band of Horses. Three albums and a 2003 breakup later, the band lived on through reunion shows and a 2011 single. Somewhere Further Than Far Away is the real comeback, thirteen songs Champion and Brooke tracked apart at home and stitched together in Seattle, the first full-length since 2002's Songs About Leaving, and it still sounds as fragile as the Pacific Northwest indie rock that made the band's name.
