Live In Arles 1975 2LP

Somebody in a Roman amphitheater in Arles pointed a tape recorder at Can in 1975, and that battered audience tape is the whole reason this show exists at all. Damo Suzuki was already gone, so what you get is the stripped-down quartet, Irmin Schmidt, Michael Karoli, Holger Czukay, and Jaki Liebezeit, running loose without a frontman to answer to. Mute keeps digging these tapes out of the vault, and this one comes with recollections from people who were actually in those stone seats, including French journalist Pascal Bussy.
