Nathan Jenkins has drifted through R&S, Honest Jon's, and Young Turks, even started his own label, Deek Recordings, along the way and kept it running for over a decade, so it says something that Nearly is his second straight album for Ghostly International, following 2024's Affection. Calling it Nearly from a producer this restless feels less like modesty and more like an admission. The two team-ups with L Devine, Francis Ford and The Arm of Cinderella, are where his hazy, sample-built pop finally commits to something resembling a hook.
