Comme A La Radio 2LP

Comme à la Radio pairs Brigitte Fontaine and her longtime partner Areski Belkacem with four members of the Art Ensemble of Chicago, Joseph Jarman, Roscoe Mitchell, Malachi Favors, and Lester Bowie, under Saravah founder Pierre Barouh's production. French chanson's spoken-sung delivery meets free jazz on the 1969 original, a pairing nothing else from that era quite matches. Wewantsounds' 2LP reissue adds alternate mixes, instrumental versions, and rare single sides to the original record. Worth owning for the Art Ensemble connection alone.
