African Herbsman catches Bob Marley and the Wailers still sparking before the wire caught fire, the Trojan Records compilation built mostly from the Jamaica-only Soul Revolution sessions with Lee 'Scratch' Perry at the desk, plus stray singles like 'Trenchtown Rock' and 'Lively Up Yourself.' It predates the Island Records breakout of Catch a Fire, and several of these versions were later rerecorded for Natty Dread, Burnin', and Kaya. Cleopatra Records presses this one on purple vinyl.
