A Heap of Broken Images LP

This pressing returns Blue Sky Black Death's 2006 debut to blue-and-white splatter vinyl, a fitting look for a record that splits itself cleanly in two. One disc holds largely instrumental, live-instrumentation pieces from Ryan Maguire and Ian Taggart on Mush Records; the other is built around guest rap verses from Guru, A-Plus, and Awol One. The title comes straight out of T.S. Eliot's The Waste Land, which tells you something about the duo's ambitions even on a debut.
