The Way of Life LP

Biosphere is Geir Jenssen, a Norwegian musician out of Tromsø who has spent more than three decades building ambient and ambient-house records out of arctic atmosphere, field recordings, and samples nobody else would reach for. His 1997 album Substrata is widely considered one of the genre's defining works, and his catalog since the early 1990s moves from beat-driven early records into drone and soundtrack work, each one colder and more spacious than the last. This UK import pressing carries that patient, glacial sound to vinyl.
