Portrayals LP

Portrayals gathers the covers Norwegian-Swedish singer Ane Brun has reworked across two decades on the road, from Radiohead and Bob Dylan to Beyonce, Nina Simone, Tom Waits, and Nick Cave, plus one newly recorded version of the Rodgers and Hart standard 'Blue Moon.' Cellist Linnea Olsson joins her on a rendering of 'Halo.' Brun treats interpretation as its own craft, separate from songwriting, and built this set as a plain tribute to that practice.
