Elfeky, Amira - It Was Only a Dream LP

Amira Elfeky records for Atlantic's Anemoia imprint, the same label that put out her earlier EPs Skin to Skin and Surrender, and her sound splits goth metal, nu-metal, and nu-gaze with Evanescence, Linkin Park, Deftones, System of a Down, and Lana Del Rey all cited as reference points. Her single "Breakdown" was produced by Bring Me the Horizon's Harry James Gilmour, and she's also landed a Billboard-charting collaboration with I Prevail. Born in Simsbury, Connecticut to an Egyptian father and American mother, she now works out of Los Angeles, a long way from the Connecticut suburbs that first shaped her nu-metal leanings.
