Oblivion LP

Alice Phoebe Lou grew up in Kommetjie outside Cape Town and moved to Berlin at nineteen, where she built her career from nothing by busking guitar and vocals in U-Bahn stations and city parks. After several self-released albums, Oblivion is her first release through Nettwerk and the first record she's produced entirely herself, an intimate, piano-led set centered on self-reflection with "Old Shadows" as its anchor. Reviewers have reached for Joni Mitchell's confessional songwriting and Leonard Cohen's quiet, reflective tone as reference points.
