Afro-Disco Makossa LP

Adrian Younge, who scored Black Dynamite and Luke Cage and co-founded Jazz Is Dead, recorded Afro-Disco Makossa straight to tape on his own Linear Labs imprint, built around one specific question: what would a Ghanaian producer asked to cut an American disco record in 1976 have done with it? The answer blends Afrobeat, funk, and disco into tracks like "Feel the High Life" and the title cut. It's the same method Younge always uses, building vintage sounds from scratch instead of sampling them.
