Roxy Music's self-titled seminal debut album, released in 1972, firmly put Bryan Ferry and Brian Eno at the forefront of the art-rock movement. Their penchant for glamour was showcased in the lyrics and immortalized in the 1950sstyle album cover.
It was preceded by the single "Over You," a #5 UK hit that also provided the band with a rare entry on Billboard's Hot 100 at #80. Flesh + Blood also included covers of The Byrds' "Eight Miles High" and Wilson Pickett's "In the Midnight Hour."
Originally released on 13th April 1973 Aladdin Sane will mark it's 50th anniversary this year and to celebrate we will be releasing a Half Speed Master version of this iconic album.
The band's 1973 album Mothers Pride gets it's first vinyl reissue, a record that cemented Fanny's popularity in the U.K. but failed to make a dent in the charts here in the States despite such classics as "Summer Song."
In 2024, the band released their debut album, And Now I'm Just Gnashing My Teeth, celebrated with a high-energy show at the iconic Troubadour in Los Angeles.
