The self-released debut Moment of Truth (2022) went viral off Wondering Why, and Made by These Moments (2024) hit number eight on the Billboard 200. Red Clay Strays formed in Mobile, Alabama in 2016. They have been associated with the contemporary American country and Southern rock revival scenes alongside contemporaries like Tyler Childers, Sturgill Simpson, and 49 Winchester. Their 2022 self-released debut Moment of Truth - particularly the track Wondering Why - became a viral hit in the late 2023 / 2024 contemporary country and Americana revival.
