Crumb are an American indie rock band formed in Boston in 2016 and now based in New York, self-releasing everything through their own Crumb Records. Jinx (2019) is the one to start with — woozy psychedelia, jazz-tinged keys and sax, and Lila Ramani's hushed vocals — with Ice Melt (2021) and AMAMA (2024) following. Crumb formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 2016 while the members were students at Tufts University, relocating to Brooklyn after graduation. The band's debut album Jinx (2019) was self-released through their own Crumb Records imprint, distributed via The Orchard, after early viral attention for their 2016 song Locket. They have continued operating as an independent act with Crumb Records as their label home.
Crumb's sound combines indie rock, psychedelic rock, jazz fusion, dream pop, and neo-psychedelia with extensive use of vintage keyboards, saxophone arrangements, and Ramani's distinctive intimate vocal delivery.
