About Charley Crockett
Charley Crockett was born in San Benito, Texas in June 1984. He spent his early adulthood traveling between the U.S. East Coast, the West Coast, and France as a busker and street musician. His recording career began in earnest with A Stolen Jewel (2015), and he has since become one of the most prolific contemporary country and Americana artists, releasing more than a dozen studio albums in less than a decade. He runs his own Son of Davy label and works through Thirty Tigers for distribution.
Sound and style
Charley Crockett's sound combines country, country soul, Western swing, traditional country, blues, and Americana with deeply traditionalist instrumental and arrangement choices. His vocal delivery and presentation draw heavily on classic country and Southern soul reference points.
