Released in April of 1995, ...I Care Because You Do is the third studio album Richard D. James recorded under the Aphex Twin moniker and marks the end of his initial analog era. It’s also the crowning achievement in their canon.
Epoch is the final album in the trilogy beginning with Dive, then Awake. This period between Dive and Epoch marks a significant maturation for Hansen's continually expanding project, one that has taken him from a solo performer to fronting a live 4-piece.
Galactic Melt is mathy, forlorn, funky, and mighty in technical ambition. That they're all noticeably cinematic is, of course, by design. Haley envisioned Galactic Melt as a "sort of film score... from the mind."
