The making of Pleased To Meet Me was a transformative journey for The Replacements, one that began with the combustible Minneapolis combo on the brink of collapse and culminated in one of the definitive albums of the band’s career.
1985’s Tim caught the band on the cusp between thrashing suburban alienation and vaulting singer-songwriter ambition. Tim was also the last album to feature the original line-up, with guitarist Bob Stinson leaving before the following Pleased To Meet Me.
This unique compilation brings together the soundtracks of the three films directed by Christopher Nolan, composed by two of the greatest contemporary film composers: Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard.
