Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Solid State Society (Yoko Kanno) 2LP

Yoko Kanno wrote this score after the scripts were already locked, syncing the music to exact scenes in Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - Solid State Society instead of writing blind ahead of the picture, the 2006 Production I.G film Kenji Kamiyama directed to continue the Stand Alone Complex story. Sound director Kazuhiro Wakabayashi then built out a large share of the cues from her themes, stretching her ideas across the whole runtime. The DVD it backed topped Japan's Oricon chart the month it dropped.
