Before Year of the Cobra signed to Magnetic Eye Records for Ash and Dust and Burn Your Dead, this self-titled record set the template: bassist and vocalist Amy Tung Barrysmith and drummer Jon Barrysmith building full doom weight out of two instruments, no guitar in the room. The pressing puts that two piece low end on vinyl, bass and drums doing the work a guitar usually does.
