One man needed at least three stage names to run his own record label, and Willie Lewis used all of them building Denver's Rock-A-Billy Record Company from the early eighties into the late nineties: Willy & the String Poppers, Billy & the Bop-Cats, Willie & the Rhythm Razors, each cutting rare, colored-vinyl rockabilly singles. The label also put out Ronnie Dawson, Marti Brom, and High Noon. Pulling Time compiles the aliases into one catalog, a quiet confession that it was him all along.
