The Lion and the Witch EP

The Lion and the Witch is a Weezer EP recorded in Japan during the band's spring 2002 tour behind Maladroit, released through Geffen Records. The band pushed for an eight song set with its own distinct packaging, and Geffen trimmed the tracklist down to six songs plus a hidden intro, "Polynesia," while leaving the packaging as planned, the same kind of band label tug of war that shaped Maladroit itself. It sat in the gap between Maladroit and 2005's Make Believe, first sold only through independent record stores before later vinyl reissues.
