Define the Great Line 2LP

Underoath got heavier and somehow more commercial at the same time on Define the Great Line, debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in 2006 behind more than 98,000 copies sold in its first week, not the usual trajectory for a band pushing its sound into denser, more atmospheric metalcore territory. Adam Dutkiewicz of Killswitch Engage, Matt Goldman, and Underoath themselves co-produced it, and Chris Lord-Alge mixed it, a credit list that tells you exactly how polished this was meant to sound. It went gold within months, carried by "Writing on the Walls" and "In Regards to Myself," proof that metalcore could occasionally out-sell its own scene.
