Ten tracks cut in August 1972 at Broadway Recording Studios, and every one of them moves like a needle riding a groove that never quite closes. Tito Puente conducted and arranged the session for Tico Records, engineered by Pat Jacques and produced by Joe Cain, with vocalists Menique, Santos Colon, and Yayo El Indio Pequeno out front. It landed deep into Puente's run as one of New York mambo and salsa's defining bandleaders, the catalog that helped push Latin dance music into the American mainstream.
