Sorry Ma, Forgot to Take Out the Trash is the Replacements' debut, cut for the Minneapolis indie Twin/Tone with the original foursome of Paul Westerberg, Bob Stinson, Tommy Stinson and Chris Mars. It hits like a kid who just found the volume knob and cranked it all the way up, rawer and faster than the power-pop turn the band would later take. AllMusic called it one of the best LPs the scene produced. "Rattlesnake" opens with a snatch of Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues," and "Somethin' to Dü" needles fellow Minneapolis band Hüsker Dü.
