Permission to Land sold over 1.4 million copies in Britain and went four-times Platinum, four weeks at number one on the UK Albums Chart. Pedro Ferreira produced it, singles 'I Believe in a Thing Called Love,' 'Growing on Me,' and 'Black Shuck' carried it, and it took three BRIT Awards in 2004, including Best Album. Decibel Magazine put it in its Hall of Fame in 2019. The falsetto and glam-rock theatrics still hold up.
