Damned Damned Damned hit shops February 18, 1977 on Stiff Records like a starting gun nobody else in Britain had heard yet, Nick Lowe producing a record cut fast and cheap at Pathway Studios. New Rose and Neat Neat Neat staked the claim as singles, both folded in here, and the album climbed to number 34 on the UK chart. Blunt and short, built on the Ramones template before any other British band had a full LP out.
