An injury forced Sofi Tukker to scrap a tour, and the downtime turned into this record, stitched from originals, remixes and collaborations, Colombian group Bomba Estereo on "Playa Grande," ZHU on "Mi Rumba." Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern met at Brown University in 2014 and built their sound like a current running through three languages at once, English, Portuguese and Spanish, over house rhythms crossed with Brazilian percussion.
