Greatest Hits CD

Epic built this 1970 set out of singles pulled from Dance to the Music, Life and Stand!, filling the quiet stretch while Sly and the Family Stone sat between studio albums, and bolted on "Hot Fun in the Summertime," "Everybody Is a Star" and "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)" for the first time on any album. It shot to number 2 on the Billboard 200 and number 1 on the R&B chart, eventually hitting five times Platinum. Robert Christgau ranked it among the greatest rock and roll records ever cut.
