Raising Hell LP

May 15, 1986, Profile Records puts out Raising Hell, Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin behind the desk. It's the first hip-hop record to top the R&B/Hip-Hop chart, and it climbed to number three on the Billboard 200 on its way to triple platinum. Walk This Way did the heavy lifting outside the format, the first rap song to crack the Hot 100's top five.
