Coming from Reality is the second and last Rodriguez album, and for decades it was also the great unheard one: cut at Lansdowne Studios in London with producer Steve Rowland for Sussex Records, then largely ignored, and Rodriguez stepped away from music, until the 2012 documentary Searching for Sugar Man exposed the cult following he'd built, unknowingly, in South Africa. Once it resurfaced, the record charted properly in Europe, hitting number 12 in Denmark and number 16 in Sweden. It trades the stripped directness of Cold Fact for something more orchestral and folk-psych.
