Jumper on the Line (Live on R.L.'S Farm) 7"

R.L. Burnside spent decades droning out raw, hypnotic hill-country blues around his home in Coldwater before a Fat Possum deal and some help from Jon Spencer dragged him in front of rock audiences late in his life, proof that discovery is just marketing with better timing. This two-song 7-inch, Jumper on the Line and On the Tractor, was recorded live on his own farm and comes straight out of the Lomax Archive, the field-recording project Alan Lomax built and the Association for Cultural Equity still maintains. No studio polish, no campaign, just a man and his porch.
