Greatest Hits CD

This A&M set runs the Police's singles start to finish, opening on the reggae lean of "Roxanne," the track that first put Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland on the map, and closing on the icy hooks of "Every Breath You Take." "Message in a Bottle," "Walking on the Moon" and "Don't Stand So Close to Me" fill the middle stretch. Lined up in order, it traces a scrappy London post-punk trio's fast climb to one of the biggest rock acts of the early 1980s.
