Soul Survivor 2LP

Pete Rock built Soul Survivor at the boards, handling nearly every beat himself (Grap Luva produced one track), like a radio tower broadcasting on one frequency to anyone who'd tune in. Released on Loud Records after the CL Smooth years ended, it pulled in guest verses from Wu-Tang Clan, Mobb Deep's Prodigy, The Roots' Black Thought, Big Pun, and Common. It climbed to number 39 on the Billboard 200 and number 9 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, proof the producer could hold the mic too.
