Alien Boy LP

Alien Boy marks Oliver Tree's jump to a major label, an Atlantic EP arriving after a strange apprenticeship: DJing dubstep under the name Kryph, playing guitar in a ska band, then releasing the underground EP Demons, whose cover of "Karma Police" drew praise from Thom Yorke. The title track's video took nine months to finish, partly because Tree, who wrote and directed it himself, had to train as a freestyle monster truck jumper. It fits a performer already built around scooter stunts and that bowl cut.
