Steven Stapleton made Merzbild Schwet largely alone in 1980, after a falling out with bandmates Heman Pathak and John Fothergill over the direction of Nurse With Wound's prior release. Critics have pointed to it as the project's first fully realized record, the tape editing and audio collage work Stapleton became known for coming into focus here. This Rotorelief pressing holds the two tracks, "Dada" and "Futurismo."
