Mirror Ball LP

Pearl Jam is Neil Young's backing band here, full stop, even though a label dispute kept the name off the sleeve. The session moved fast at Seattle's Bad Animals Studio, not long after the two acts shared a bill at a D.C. benefit show. Mike McCready and Stone Gossard stack up a three-guitar lineup, and Eddie Vedder sings a duet with Young on "Peace and Love," a song he helped write. Buy it for that pairing, not for subtlety.
