Limina CD

Donnacha Dennehy writes music that the New York Times has called the work of Ireland's most important living composer, the kind of line that either scares you off or pulls you straight into Limina. Two of his concertos get their first recordings here: the title piano concerto with Eliza McCarthy at the keys, and a Violin Concerto carried by Stephen Waarts, both cut with the National Symphony Orchestra Ireland under Ryan McAdams at Dublin's National Concert Hall for Nonesuch, which has released Dennehy's music since 2011, the Grammy-winning Land of Winter included.
