Death by Manipulation CD

Earache and Relativity put together Death by Manipulation in 1991, a grab bag of Napalm Death's early singles and EPs cut during the Lee Dorrian, Bill Steer, Shane Embury, and Mick Harris lineup. The joke, if you can call it that, is that a band built on speed and blast beats needed a compilation just to keep its own early catalog straight. AllMusic called it a fair survey of the group's early-'90s churn, caught mid-lurch from grindcore into death metal.
