Miley Cyrus goes by just Miley now, her tenth studio album and first for Atlantic, and Bass Persuades sounds like someone who traded polish for grit on purpose. Kid Harpoon, Michael Pollack, and her fiance Maxx Morando helped build the guitar-driven sound around a thrashing title track, less like a pop star's rebrand and more like someone plugging back into a bar band. She's called the record a love story in pieces, heartbreak and romance and self-reflection stitched together across the songs, following 2025's Something Beautiful.
