Cinquieme As 2LP

Cinquième As became one of MC Solaar's biggest commercial successes, parked at number two in France and Belgium and going two-times platinum at home, right between his 1998 self-titled album and 2003's Mach 6. He dressed it up with string arrangements and R&B textures, like swapping a motorcycle for a sedan, smoother ride, same destination, because the verses underneath still land hard on global finance's toll on developing nations and the immigrant upbringing that shaped his life in the Paris suburbs.
