Eye Communication: Live At The Wax Museum 2LP

The early 1980s found Marianne Faithfull clawing her way out of a rough decade, pairing her cracked, lived-in voice with harder rock arrangements on records like 'Broken English' and 'Dangerous Acquaintances.' This one, cut live at the Wax Museum in 1983, catches her mid-rebuild, working through that tougher material and a cover of John Lennon's 'Working Class Hero.' It's one of the rawer documents of the stretch when a '60s pop casualty turned into a singer-songwriter people actually respected.
