Hallelujah & Songs from his Albums CD

This Cohen compilation opens with a previously unreleased live tape of "Hallelujah" from the 2008 Glastonbury Festival, then runs chronologically through his catalog, from "Suzanne" off his 1967 debut to "Thanks for the Dance," released after his death in 2016. It plays like a slow current pulling backward through decades, song by song, until a Montreal poet turns into one of popular music's most enduring songwriters. The set also doubles as a companion to a documentary about Cohen's life and work.
