Nine albums in, Lamb of God still sounds like a band working out an argument it can't let go of, and Omens is that argument set to tape with producer Josh Wilbur, who's been in the room with them since 2006. It opened at No. 15 on the Billboard 200 and topped the Hard Rock Albums chart. "Nevermore" digs into the contested history of the band's hometown, Richmond, Virginia, while other songs pull from Randy Blythe's environmental advocacy work alongside Indigenous communities in the US and Ecuador, more news ticker than mood board.
