Wildlife CD

Wildlife closes out La Dispute's run with No Sleep Records before the band built its own label, Better Living, and it does the closing with force. Cut mostly at StadiumRed in New York, the album splits itself into short stories, broken up by four spoken monologues that pull from real events back home in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Jordan Dreyer doesn't sing so much as deliver these tracks, pushing the band's sound away from straight hardcore toward something more melodic and literary. Rock Sound gave it a 9 out of 10.
