La Dispute dresses up Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair with a title borrowed from a Chinese folktale about separated lovers, then spends the record's runtime working through two real divorces involving people close to frontman Jordan Dreyer. The Grand Rapids, Michigan post-hardcore band released it on No Sleep Records to strong reviews, and it later earned a spot on Rock Sound's list of the 101 Modern Classics, folklore aside.
