Project X CD

Project X was Ken Carson's debut, cut fast in Los Angeles with Star Boy and Outtatown behind the boards, and it wears that speed openly. Carson signed to Playboi Carti's Opium label in 2019 and built his name the following year with the Teen X mixtape, and this album leans hard into the rage and pop-trap sound the label built its reputation on. Critics split on the songwriting, but "Rock N Roll" and "Run + Ran" earned Carson a real foothold in the rage-rap scene that grew up around Carti's camp.
